Face-recognition access in the DF14 small-mortise format

The grey DF14 face-recognition smart lock brings a keyless-entry option to a suitable door. This listing is specifically the small-mortise configuration, making the internal lock-body fit an important part of choosing the right product for your home, office or rental property.

Choose the correct lock body

Small mortise is not a universal door-size standard and it is not interchangeable with the separately stocked big-mortise DF14. Share photographs of both sides of the door and the existing lock edge, together with measurements, so the team can check the installation before fulfilment.

• Model: DF14.
• Finish: Grey.
• Configuration: Small mortise.
• Access type: Face recognition.

Access methods and connected functions

Fingerprint, keypad, physical-key and app access are additional requirements to check against the supplied hardware. Tell the team which methods you need and ask for a demonstration. Face recognition does not by itself establish support for continuous video recording, remote unlocking or a particular number of access methods.

For shared access, ask the team to demonstrate enrollment, user removal, the supported backup-entry method and what happens if the lock loses power or network access. Keep an appropriate emergency-access plan and do not replace an existing door's safety arrangements without professional advice.

Fitting and handover

Confirm door thickness, handing/opening direction, mortise dimensions and any required frame preparation. Installation may involve changes to the door and is not promised to be drill-free or included in the product price. Have the installer demonstrate the supplied access and power procedures before relying on the lock for daily use.
